Mock interview · see your questions free, no sign-up
Your resume is the question paper.
You've rehearsed these answers in your head. You've never said them to another person.
One question opens each line. Then it picks one of your answers and pushes back - up to five times - until you can hold it.
Pick one and it becomes question one.
You know your work. You just haven't said it out loud in three years.
Interviewers don't reject people for not knowing. They reject the ones who recite instead of explain, who ramble, or who can't say which part they did. Nobody tells you that afterwards, so it happens again at the next company.
Every round you'll sit through, not just the technical one.
Technical and project round
Built from your own resume lines and the job description, so it matches what you'll actually be asked.
Managerial round
The round most people don't prepare for, and the one that quietly decides your level.
HR round
The money and logistics questions, asked the way they're actually asked in India.
Salary, notice period and gap questions come phrased the way an Indian HR round actually phrases them - including the follow-up after your first answer.
The answer is in your head. It comes out sideways.
Before each question you get a short nudge on what a strong answer covers - the number, the decision that was yours, the outcome. Not a script to memorise. You still answer in your own words; we just stop you leaving out the part that matters.
The feedback nobody gave you.
Every answer gets read back to you the way an interviewer would have heard it: what landed, what was thin, and the one sentence to change. Saved to your account, so you can open it the night before the real thing.

Service company → product company
Your resume reads like a team's work. Product panels ask what you owned, over and over.
First switch after 3-4 years
You've only interviewed once, and that was as a fresher. The bar has moved.
Senior, out of practice
You haven't interviewed since 2021. You know the work; the story is rusty.
No mic, no camera, no live person
You read each question and type your answer in your own time. Nothing to join, nobody waiting, no recording. Practise at 1am if that's when you're free.
It prepares you, it doesn't cheat for you
There is no live mode and no way to use this during a real interview. It gets you ready beforehand. What you say in the room is yours.

Answer 3 questions
They come one at a time, built from your lines. Type your answer the way you'd say it. A short nudge tells you what to cover.
Read what was missing
Written feedback on each answer - what landed, what was thin, and the one sentence to change. Saved to your account.
Mock interview FAQ
Is the mock interview free?
Seeing your questions is free and needs no account. Your first 3 mini mock interviews are free, 3 questions each, and you sign in when you send your first answer so the feedback is saved somewhere you can find it. A full mock with the complete readiness report is a one-time Rs 99 purchase, no subscription. You are only asked after you have seen the free round.
Do I need to sign up before I start?
No. Paste your resume on this page and your questions come back straight away, with no account at all. You are asked to make one when you send your first answer, because that is the point where we read it back to you.
Do I need a microphone or a quiet room?
No. You type your answers the way you would say them. There is no call to join and no interviewer waiting, so you can practise on the bus or at your desk.
Where do the questions come from?
Your own resume lines, and the job description if you paste one. They are the questions an interviewer builds from what is on the page - including the follow-up after your first answer - rather than a generic list you could have Googled.
Does it cover HR round questions like CTC and notice period?
Yes. Current and expected CTC, notice period and buyout, career gaps, relocation and why you are leaving are all covered, phrased the way Indian HR rounds phrase them.
Will it help me answer better, or just tell me I am wrong?
Both. Before each question you get a short nudge on what a strong answer covers. Afterwards you are told what was missing and shown your own answer tightened up - in your words, not a template.
Does it work for non-technical roles?
Yes. The questions are built from whatever is on your resume, so sales, operations, HR, finance and support roles work the same way. The behavioural and HR rounds are identical across functions.
Will it feed me answers during a real interview?
No. There is no live mode and no way to use this during an interview. It prepares you beforehand; the answers stay yours.
Are my answers private?
Here is what happens to them. Your answer goes to an AI provider to be graded, and your saved report keeps a short quote from up to three of your strongest answers, none longer than about 140 characters. We never train AI on your answers. Email help@hopvest.com to delete your saved reports; we process it within 30 days.
Online mock interview practice for experienced professionals
Most interview preparation online hands you a list of the top fifty questions and leaves you to guess which apply. That doesn't help when the panel is holding your resume and asking about the migration you ran two years ago. Hopvest reads the resume you actually send out and builds the questions an interviewer would build from it - for the technical round, the managerial round and the HR round - then gives you written feedback on every answer.
It's built for people already working: engineers, QA, data and analytics, support and non-tech roles moving between service companies and product companies. It handles the questions specific to hiring in India - expected CTC and current CTC, notice period and buyout, career gaps, relocation, and why you're leaving after eighteen months - as well as the standard behavioural rounds you'll face anywhere.
